Some of the best photos are taken at the pets height with them looking at the camera, that way you can really see eye colour and facial features for the portrait. So no cushions or covers blocking any of them! If you can, make sure the photo shows all of your pet that you’d like drawing. Natural lighting is always the best for photos, so if you can take the photo outside on a sunny day that will show off all the lovely colours and shades of your pet much better.
